Liberty Bay Bank welcome’s Rhonda Morris to their Executive Management team. Rhonda is a native of the Pacific Northwest bringing with her 30 years of Bank Operations, Compliance, Human Resources and Audit. Rhonda started her career in banking after college at Jefferson National Bank in Port Townsend where she and her husband Jess both grew up and went to school. After deciding to make banking a career, Rhonda set off for the big city where she worked at a number of different positions in King and Snohomish County, advancing her career.
After 17 years of working for a big bank, Rhonda decided to go back to her community banking roots and has been working for small community banks since 2000. Most recently she was the Internal Audit and Compliance Officer for a Bank in North Seattle. With high hopes of working back on the Kitsap Peninsula, Rhonda and her husband bought a weekend home in Port Ludlow in April 2011. When the opportunity at Liberty Bay Bank presented itself, Rhonda and her husband decided to pack up and move back to the Peninsula area full time.
Rhonda will serve as chair of the Technology Oversight Committee, in addition to overseeing the bank’s Operations, Compliance, Information Technology, Security, Training, Audit and Human Resources. She is excited to be a part of the Liberty Bay Bank team and looks forward to getting to know the staff, as well as the bank’s customers and shareholders.
